Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
1\2 cup butter or margarine 1 egg
3\4 cup brown sugar 1 tsp.vanilla
1\2 tsp. baking powder 1 cup flour
1\2 tsp. baking soda 1\2 tsp. salt
1\2 tsp. cinnamon 1 cup raisins
2 cups rolled oats
Beat until creamy butter, sugar, egg and vanilla. Then add other ingredients
.Mix well and drop by tablespoon onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350-375 for 15 min.
I have finally finished all 42 scrap blocks I am going to quilt each block and then sew them together

I used flannel for the back to make it nice and cozy. Put the backing right side down then batting which should be 1/2 inch smaller ,then put top right side up ,pin to keep from slipping and quilt make sure to stay about an inch away from the edges so you can join the block together.



 Now pin backs of 2 blocks right sides together make sure batting and fronts are out of the way and sew
 turn under 1/4 inch of one side of top and slip stich closed catching only top layer I do all the blocks in rows first and then sew rows together

Here are a couple of projects that I finished The little quilt is hand quilted I  did put a loop across the back if I want to hang it up or could use it as table topper The bed quilt is made up of 6 1/2 inch strip pieced blocks
